Avoid These 5 Things If You Want To Make Money Online
Making money on the Internet is hard enough when starting out without a bunch of people out there just waiting to con money away from beginners or those who push canned programs designed to separate the Beginner from his or her money.
This is the reason I sat down and wrote up this list of 5 things Noobs should avoid when going into Internet Marketing. Following this advice will go a long ways in helping you get started without falling into money traps. So, here are five things you should avoid if you’re serious about making money online.
SiteSell.com, aka Site Build It. I won’t go as far as saying Site Build It is a scam, but many people believe it is. Site Build It is supposedly a “one stop shop” for Beginners. What they don’t tell you is that you can get everything they’re offering for free off the Internet. I’ve also looked at the so called Site Build It reviews on Google and I have yet to see a real one. The ones on the first two pages were fake reviews. It cost $300 per year. You could do a lot better things starting out with $300 than buying into Sitesell.com or Site Build It.
Would you think about spending hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars on something you knew nothing about? This is exactly what many Newbies do when they start using PPC advertising. PPC, or Pay Per Click, advertising can make you a lot of money. But it requires a lot of know-how to use and you need a lot of money up front. Money that you’re willing to lose. Those who are successful with PPC have spent thousands testing, and losing, to see what works and what doesn’t for their particular product or service. You’d be better off hiring a PPC professional to run your campaign and paying their fee!
It’s easy for Newbies to get into a rut reading Make Money Blogs or become a cult like follower of a Blogger because he says he makes a lot of money online and you want to be just like him or her. Heck, they may even post pictures of checks for a lot of money. Remember back in the day the Nike commercials where they told us to be “like Mike” (meaning Michael Jordan). They sold a lot of tennis shoes but I don’t know anyone who became like Mike just because they wore Nike tennis shoes! There are only a handful of Bloggers who really make money from the Internet as Internet Marketers. The folks at The Keyword Academy and The Make Money For Beginners blog by Griz are two that I know of that will show you legitimate ways of making money online and do it for free.
You’ve all seen them. Ebooks promising to make you rich simply by following a simple plan. It’s hard to ignore some of the testimonials (usually by other people selling ebooks to Noobs) that you’ll see on the Landing Pages. All the information you need to make money online can be had for free. It’s best to wait and find out the path you want to take and start making some money before you decide to buy these pricey ebooks. By that time, you’ll realize that most of these are garbage.
Just as with ebooks and MMO bloggers, there seems to be a boat load of crap software on the Internet promising you great riches if you were only to buy and use it. I’ve bought a lot of it over the years and it’s mostly garbage. The software that I use to make money online, and I don’t use much because you don’t need to in order to make money, is nearly all free. You can find all the tools you need online and it’s free. I use Google tools for keyword research and website analysis. You could pay hundreds, if not thousands for programs that do the same, but why would you?
By educating yourself and avoiding these 5 money pits, you’ll go a long way in insuring your future as a successful Internet Marketing. It does take some money to get started making an income online, but you need to be smart and know where to spend your hard earned money.
