Are You Tired Of Fighting With Your Teenager?
In the youth home, where I work, I have seen many teenagers enrolled in the program without a clue, and leave as a much better person in the world. What a treat it is to see a teenager learn to be accountable and responsible. They grow every day to enter back into society as adults.
Most of the time, teenagers enter this facility with anger and hatred for their parents. When they finally leave, after many hours of therapy and group work, they leave respecting and loving them so much. They no longer rely on a life of drugs, sex, and crime to pass their time. Instead they are reformed through drawing on other students and staff’s experiences to see that life can be worth it.
In Southern Utah, where I live, there are many schools and homes for troubled teenagers. They are all specialized in different issues dealing with a troubled teen. When there is an issue that one school is not equipped to deal with, the other schools are. For instance, your child might have a drug problem, there are therapists that specialize in treating drug addictions. Your child might have a problem sexually, therapists are available for this also. Maybe your child just has really low self esteem that causes them to be a follower are cave to peer-pressure, there are therapists and seminars that teach them to respect themselves and stand up for themselves.
All of these schools are therapy oriented. Some teach the youth in a classroom type setting and others are more geared toward wilderness, like a boot camp setting. Parents learn to see eye to eye with their teenager through open and honest relationships. It hurts to se when families can not get along over one sides inability to budge, and the therapy that the child and the parent receive helps to resolve differences that each may have. Forget money, forget your job, if you don’t have family, you don’t have anything.
If you are having trouble with your teen, I would strongly suggest you seek help before it deteriorates to the point of being alone. This is far too sad of an option, especially in these trying times where you need your family now more than ever before. Your jobs and friends could turn on you at any time, but your family should be the one constant that you can always count on.
The awareness that I am raising is for a happy and working family. Sometimes we need help. That help is available to you and your family. I am looking to save families and to save lives because, I beleive that there are no lost souls.
