MLM Pyramid Scheme Or A Scam?
An MLM pyramid scheme may give the appearance as a way to make a lot of money, but it just looks like a scam and something illegal. If you get mixed up in the wrong thing you will most likely lose money in the deal and be completely turned off to and any real opportunity that might present itself at a later time. In fact, network marketing a great way that you can make some money and not be involved in a scam.
A legal MLM opportunity allows you to earn a commission on the personal sales that you make of products as well as the sales made by your team which looks like a pyramid. If you are not familiar with it at all, the team structure of the MLM industry give the appearance of a pyramid because you are recruiting people who will be recruiting people. Our inherent instincts that we were taught says that it is a scam if it looks like a pyramid.
To look at a pyramid structure in a little different light, think of the traditional business model. It also takes the shape of a pyramid. You have the CEO at the top making all the money. You then have Vice Presidents below him who make slightly less. That flow continues through manager, associates, secretaries, janitors, and interns. Each one makes less money than the individual that outranks them. This is a pyramid as well.
Now to bring that back to the MLM industry, this type of business allows anyone to make more money than the person above them. It is all dependent on the actual work that you do. You will see success in your opportunity when you place time and energy into it. If you just join to get a position you still cannot make any money.
You will also need to evaluate the products that you will be selling. There must be a real product or service in place in order for it to be a legal opportunity. If you come across something that you get a commission just because someone joins, then that might be a scam. A real product or service that contains value must exist. You will also find that some companies are selling things but it is just to make money. Whatever you are selling must be able to stand on its own and retailed. It could be sold without the income opportunity attachment.
It will be important for you to be able to analyze any potential opportunity before you jump in to be able to determined whether or not it is a legitimate MLM opportunity or some pyramid scheme that is a scam. You definitely do not want to get into anything that is illegal.
An MLM pyramid scheme can actually be a legitimate opportunity. If you are already involved in a MLM opportunity or are thinking about getting involved, you must have an online MLM system to succeed on the internet.
